A "Leader in Me" School

Fall-Hamilton is a growing school that has been providing high-quality education to the Wedgewood-Houston community for more than 30 years. 

Our experienced staff and dedicated teachers provide every child with the best educational opportunity possible. Our school also offers before and aftercare through the Extended Learning Program (ELP), that includes homework help, special art and science classes, and a power movement class. Fall-Hamilton is dedicated to the academic growth of our students as well as the whole child.

Every classroom contains a Peace Corner, and every student has access to the Regulation Room, where breath and movement support them as they develop their core competencies in regulation and social-emotional skill building to fuel their readiness to learn. Fall-Hamilton has remained dedicated to the trauma-informed work in education and provides access to full-time, in-house providers such as Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), a Licensed Social Worker and a Licensed Therapist for individual counseling, a Classroom Management Specialist, and a Social Emotional Learning Specialist.

We also serve our students and families through our Family Resource Center and partnership with Community in Schools. Some special programs that we have for our students include GATE, the district's program for gifted and talented students, a Theater program, a cross-country and soccer team.

We are one of two schools in the city that are part of the Leader in Me! Program and we have achieved Lighthouse status, meaning we hold a special certification showing results in leadership, culture, and academics. Based on the work of Stephen Covey, we teach and implement the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Students in every part of our school day.

Through this we ensure every student in the building has the ability and opportunity for leadership. We also use data to inform instruction, consistently implement new teaching strategies to increase student achievement, and provide exciting and challenging enrichment opportunities for all students.
